Wine glasses for the girls!

As I mentioned in my recent post (aka rant) about wine glasses, I wanted to personalize my wine glasses for my sister-in-laws Bachelorette Party.
Here is how I did it... First pick out some pretty ribbon
(in whatever color makes you smile!)
I chose pink :)

Make sure it's thick enough to write a name on it

Next, place the ribbon around your wine glass to figure out how long you'll need it.  When you wrap it around the glass the ribbon will be a little higher on one side and the end will criss-cross a little on the other side, that way it sits flush against the glass.  Once you have one of them measured, use that as your example and cut as many as you need in that exact same size.

Now use a fine point permanent pen and write the names on both sides of the ribbon.  Next wrap the ribbon around the wine glass, and using your glue gun, place a little dab of glue on the bottom end ribbon and secure with the top end.

Now that doesn't look very pretty... which is why you need a little flower, or decal of your liking to cover up the ends. Now you can also place a little dab of glue under the ribbon to secure it to the glass.  Once it's dry it peals right off, so you don't have to worry about ruining your wine glasses :)
Voila! You have beautiful personalized wine glasses

I also personalized the Bride's glass

For her glass, I found this beautiful rhinestone sticker (in the scrapbooking section of my craft store)

my BIG ideas BRIDE sticker
Next I placed it on the glass, then wrapped the stem with the ribbon and glued it into place.  Again, I placed a few little flower decals and it was complete!

All the girls loved the glasses!
