Father's Day decorations

Comments
I wanted to decorate the house for Father's Day, so I thought I'd make a couple cute, quick and SUPER EASY signs.

All you need are a few items:
Paper, Scissors, Twine or ribbon and a hole punch (not pictured)

** I always have tons of extra scrapbook paper on hand, however if you don't have scrapbook paper, any colored paper will do.  You could even use white paper and have the kid/kids decorate each letter; maybe some with marker/crayon, with paint or even put stickers and/or glitter on them! **

Father's Day shirt

This year was my husbands FIRST Father's Day, so I wanted to do something special and VERY personal to him.  I decided to make him a sleep shirt with our daughters hand and foot prints on them. I know that this has been done time and time again, but it's still super cute and the memories from the day will last a lifetime!

I wanted to make sure the shirt had a lot of personal touches, so I added the following items:
  • I put his name on the front (well, his name according to Madison, which at the time was Dada)
  • Of course the shirt had to include the year and since my husband played baseball for many many years, I thought it would be cute to put the year on the back, like a jersey.
  • On each of the sleeves it said "I <3 U"
  • On the back it said <3 Madison <3

Wine glasses for the girls!

As I mentioned in my recent post (aka rant) about wine glasses, I wanted to personalize my wine glasses for my sister-in-laws Bachelorette Party.
Here is how I did it... First pick out some pretty ribbon
(in whatever color makes you smile!)
I chose pink :)

Make sure it's thick enough to write a name on it

Next, place the ribbon around your wine glass to figure out how long you'll need it.  When you wrap it around the glass the ribbon will be a little higher on one side and the end will criss-cross a little on the other side, that way it sits flush against the glass.  Once you have one of them measured, use that as your example and cut as many as you need in that exact same size.

Now use a fine point permanent pen and write the names on both sides of the ribbon.  Next wrap the ribbon around the wine glass, and using your glue gun, place a little dab of glue on the bottom end ribbon and secure with the top end.

Wine and Whining...

Tell me if this sounds familiar - you are at a gathering of some sort and you set your wine glass down and then can't figure out which one is yours?  Yes, this has happened to me - many times!  I know that they have all sorts of fun wine gadgets to prevent this problem (I also own many of these), but then you have to remember what color, shape, size, etc you have.

The next problem is most of these charms are sold in sets of 6, so what if you have 10, 15 or 20 people over?  Now multiple people will have the same color... do you see where I'm going with this?  It just gets confusing.....
