I Wish Wednesdays!

It's kind of funny, before I was a stay at home mom, I worked - A LOT!  I was in an office all day and since I brought my lunch, I never left my desk.  So it felt like days would go by without feeling the warm sun on my skin... 

Once I became a SAHM, I envisioned myself being outdoors all the time! However, I still find myself staying indoors A LOT.  Between, laundry, nap time, crafting, cooking, and of course blogging, I don't feel like I get the amount of outdoor time I'd like.  Now, don't get me wrong, I spend WAY more time outdoors than when I was working.  We love going to the park, Sea World, the zoo and Baby Boot Camp is all outdoors, but it still doesn't seem like enough!

Are you curious where I'm going with this?  It's about my wish for this week....

I wish I could go camping with my hubby...

Here we are with our brand new toy - soooo excited to take it out riding.  I LOVE driving it - it's so much fun!  Plus my hubby is so sweet, he lets me drive it the majority of the time.  Unfortunately, you can't drive it (or ride in it) if you are pregnant... This was the last time I went out riding.

I found out a week after this picture was taken that I was pregnant again.

Now, he's continued to go riding and camping with "the boys", but I want to go too!  So this weekend he's taking it out again (the last time before baby girl #2 arrives) and I wish I could go too! 

So this weekend, while I'm home with the little one, I'll be wishing I was with my hubby, sitting around the campfire, making mountain pies and s'mores and chatting/laughing about the day's ride.

I Wish Wednesdays!

I spend most of my day picking up after my little munchkin.  We have a section of our living room (which is still a work in progress) dedicated to her toys, but she still seems to spread them ALL OVER THE HOUSE!  Some days I wish we had a separate playroom that looked something like this:

One thing that we all have in common is wishes.

There are the little every day wishes
"I wish I could lose those last 10lbs!"
"I wish my daughter wouldn't jump on the couch"
"I wish it was sunny"
"I wish my hubby didn't work so late"

There are the BIG important wishes
"I wish I didn't have to worry about money"
"I wish I could find a good paying job"
"I wish I had a bigger house"
"I wish there was a cure for...(fill in the blank)"

There are the F*U*N wishes
"I wish I could travel & explore the world"
"I wish I could get a massage - EVERY DAY"
"I wish I could eat all I want and never gain a pound!"

You get the point.

Anyhow, I thought it would be fun to dedicate Wednesdays to dreams & wishes, big or small! (I might throw in a few inspirational and fun quotes too!)

Today, here is what I'm wishing:

I wish I could have sushi for dinner tonight

I wish I could have a glass of red wine

 

(we are members of their wine club, so we have bottles just stacking up... unopened)

Lastly, after sushi for dinner and a glass of red wine, I wish I could just sit back and relax

in a hot tub...  :)

Now, all of these wishes WILL become reality... in about 8 weeks... once this little munchkin is born.  But until then, I can only wish!
